The Research Unit in Business Sciences of the University of Beira Interior (NECE), in collaboration with the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco is pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference “Regional HELIX” to be held in Covilhã, Portugal, between the 21st and the 23rd of June, 2017.
The Regional HELIX’17 is an international academic and entrepreneurial event that will focus a diverse set of themes, associated to the Entrepreneurial ecosystems, underlining more the challenges of peripheral least favoured regions, focusing areas as Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer.
The event also aims to discuss new University-industry-government cooperation opportunities, especially in less favoured regions.

Björn Asheim (Full Professor in economic geography and innovation studies at UiS Business School/Centre for Innovation Research, University of Stavanger, Norway);
Judith Terstriep (Head of Research Department Innovation, Space&Culture, Westphalian University, Institute for Work and Technology);
Marina Ranga (European Commission, DG Joint Research Centre Seville, Spain);
Saulo Dubard Barbosa (Associate Professor at EMLYON Business School);
Soumodip Sarkar (Associate Professor at the Department of Management, University of Évora and researcher at CEFAGE-UE).
